Not Just Landscapes – A National Juried Exhibition
The landscape has long been a compelling and rewarding subject for artists, at times intended primarily as a faithful depiction of a notable scene, but at times alluding to other meanings. The forms, light and space in a landscape scene may represent the twists and turns of a river, a road, a mind, or a culture. For this exhibit artists were invited to submit works that addressed the landscape in some manner, whether it be seascape or cityscape, futuristic, psychological or metaphoric. Juror Mark Perlman had the task of narrowing down the 550 or so entries to an exhibit of 70 pieces.
I am very happy that my painting, Getting There From Here, was selected to be among the pieces in this exhibit! The exhibit will be on view from August 1 through September 7, 2013 at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts.
